Gordon Baldwin
Born 1932
Baldwin trained at the Lincoln School of Art and later at the Central School of Art and Design in London (1950-53). His work explores the crossover between sculpture and pottery and develops ideas of surface decoration and the tensions between form and function. Baldwin’s career as a potter has developed alongside teaching experience at Goldsmith’s College in London and Eton College. His ceramics have been exhibited widely in Europe and North America since the early 1980s.
